In March 2003 were Lorenzo´s mother Arlene Dahl and her husband Marc Rosen celebrating the 20^th wedding anniversary. Celebrity was organized in New York and between visitors can´t be missing her nearest - sons Lorenzo Lamas, Stephan Schaum and Christopher Barker (from marriage with famous protagonist of Old Shatterhand Lex Barker). Further here were her daughter Carole Holmes McCarthy and 17-year old granddaughter Shayne Lamas (daughter of Lorenzo Lamas from his second marriage with Michelle Smith).

Lorenzo Lamas moved with his family in 1996 to a new house in Los Feliz in California. The house has an area of 4348 square metres and its parcel has around one acre. The house is situated 60 metres above sea level. There is a good view of sierra San Bernardino and Los Angeles. The town Los Feliz is 15 minutes from the centre of Los Angeles and 30 minutes from Malibu. The house was build in 1922 in Tudor style. Previous owners renovated and rebuilt it completely in 1990 and got palms from Florida. The electricity and water conduit were completely changed as well. There are 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms inside this house and guests have for their own disposal a room with a bathroom and a kitchen.
In 1998 (when the serial "Air America" has been shot) Lorenzo Lamas said:
"Although our house is beautiful, we are looking with my wife for a different one that will be farer from the west end of Los Angeles. As I often work in Ventura (California), I spend most of the time there. If I could remove this house to Ventura, I would be happy for the rest of my life. "

   

Lorenzo Lamas never use a stunt man to replace him in dangerous scenes. But it occurred fateful to him. At the end of the year 1999 he astonished his fans by his announcement that he had finished with acting and would be interested only in his family. Lamas has been struggling for years with a dull pain that is a consequence of his daring pieces.
"Everything began six years ago when my knees started to be painful. I already had four operations and most of the last months spent at hospitals", said the hero of the serials "Renegade" and "Air America". Moreover he dislocated his right knee during one rehearsal and severed ligaments. Doctors could not "fix" it and changed the whole joint to him.
"I am interested only in my family", he said. But he is not going to give up acting, his lifelong passion: "It is my biggest hobby, something like my another child". Unfortunately it is a tax for fame and popularity of this fearless man.

Lorenzo Lamas returned to car racing in 1998. After 3-year break he started in 1998 with formula Van Diemen RF98/Quicksilver Ford as member of team On-Line Racing, Inc. on the serie of competetions US F2000 National Championship.

Lorenzo "tried his luck" as car racer in 80´s.
After success on Toyota Long Beach Celebrity in 1985 he began to drive in series IMSA Camel Lights and USAC/Toyota Sportsman.

Experiences with car racing sport suits to him in shooting of TV serie Renegade. He performed as driver of racing car in episode Wheel man. This episode is the most popular of him.

Lorenzo Lamas loves motorcycles and first of all ride on them.
He owns collection of five motorcycles Harley-Davidson which included veterans from 1963 and new motorcycles - e.g. special Harley Davidson ProStreet SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION from 1996. He owns several sport motorcycles with hood too.
To his enthusiasm for motorcycles Lorenzo said: "Riding is the cheapest therapy known to man. On a bike you´re immersed in the present - the past and future aren´t issues. Riding gives me answers to my questions and relieves me of worry. When I get off my bike, I feel like a new person."

   

Do you know that motorcycle on which Lamas rides in TV serie "Renegade" is Harley-Davidson Softail custom from 1989 with V-twin 1340 ccm engine and power of 59 HP ? This motorcycle belongs to privat collection of Lorenzo´s motorcycles. Motorcycle has painted fire flames on black fuel tank. In addition production of TV serie Renegade Stu Segall painted by this motive some cars which "performed" in this serie - e.g. truck (see picture below) and off-road vehicle Jeep Wrangler.

Another hobby of Lorenzo Lamas is flight. He has completed the aerial course "Professional Pilot Training" in Burbank (California) and gained driver's licence for an aeroplane in these categories: "Multi Engine" and "Single Engine". His favourite flights are Lear Jet, Dash 10 Grand Commander, SR-71 and FA-18 Hornet. He used this experience in the serial "Air America" where he played a boss of an aerial company and drove many times different kinds of sport aeroplane.

It is not unusual that Lorenzo Lamas appears very often on front pages of prestige American magazines. Mostly is not easy to get these magazines. There are some photographs of these magazines. The first cover belongs to the magazine "People" from the year 1982 and the article is about the serial "Falcon Crest". The second and the third cover are from the television magazine "TV Guide". Both articles (the first one was published in July 1983) are mainly about Lorenzo's acting in TV serial "Falcon Crest". The whole interview from first article from the year 1983 is available here.
Lorenzo also appeared on the front page of the magazine for ladies "Play girl" and even several times-for the first time in 1983 when he presented together with the popular actress Heather Locklear an collection of sport swimsuits and afterwards he appeared in this magazine again-photographs of the last two covers are from the years 1993 and 1996.
